peaknetworks has been highly successfully servicing servers, hosting and cloud services for private customers, companies and web agencies since 2013.

As a hosting and cloud provider, peaknetworks stands for ecological service and transparency. No additional costs for hosting or domains in the following years, no subscriptions that don't work, no artificially cheap products with limited functionality. With us there is only quality hosting and 1A service.
Our internal software department "peaknetworks Development Lab" develops all interfaces and backend systems itself, our system administration engineers the server clusters and storage systems itself.
The peaknetworks shared hosting stack runs on FreeBSD systems. We achieve a higher density with more hostings on less hardware than competing systems. This saves power and resources. We are known for our ecological approach in hosting and cloud.
Our systems are located in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. We do not outsource any services or data externally or to a cloud outside our own infrastructure. This is the only way we can guarantee you a top service.
We don't buy user interfaces for our customers, but have developed our own, which is one of the easiest hosting interfaces to use. As a result, our customers benefit from a very simple operation. Creating an email address or an FTP user is only a few clicks.
peaknetworks is self-financed and privately owned. We implement a long-term strategy and grow every year in the high double-digit percentage range. This way we ensure that our customers can count on us in the long run.
peaknetworks development lab
The control panel, the user interface for the DNS, web and e-mail services, is continuously developed by our own software department in Innsbruck and is one of the easiest to use administration user interfaces on the market.
State-of-the-art technology and safety
The server infrastructure is owned by peaknetworks and is monitored by us 24/7. For customers with high security requirements we offer ISO27001 as well as cooperation to achieve more advanced certifications such as ISAE 3000.
Datacenter
The early years
Dissatisfied with the service we were getting ourselves, we started developing our own hosting provider in 2013.
We wanted to improve the experience we had as customers with this new hoster.
Faced with poor service, slow systems, complicated operation and prices that are constantly changing, we thought - we can do better.
2013 Foundation
peaknetworks was founded in 2013. The first servers were installed and put into operation in a data center of Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe AG. Work on the peaknetworks control panel began.
2014 First location Innsbruck
The first generation web, mail and DNS servers were put into operation. The business developed, customers from the German-speaking region host with peaknetworks.
2015 Second location in Zurich
The extraordinarily positive business development with Swiss customers leads to the commissioning of our first systems in the Zurich data center in Hardturmstrasse.
2016 Resellers and agencies
The control panel is expanded to include reseller functions, and the first agencies become peaknetworks customers.
2018 New HPE servers and new control panel
The generation 2 of our control panel and server is put into operation. HTTP/2, free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, reseller features and the modern control panel lead to a great success on the market. We replace all servers with HP Enterprise 360 and HP Enterprise 380 systems.

2020 Cloud services and business email
Due to the events surrounding Corona and COVID-19, the demand for local cloud services is increasing in the EU and Switzerland. With Nextcloud based solutions including Onlyoffice and Talk we contribute to a smooth home office. In the "peaknetworks Development Lab" in Innsbruck the development of version 3 of the hosting control panel starts.
2021 GmbH and "All Flash" for shared hostings
As of 1.1.2021 peaknetworks is a GmbH, the name is now "peaknetworks Hosting GmbH". The main focus in 2021 is in the reseller area for IT companies and agencies. Version 3 of the control panel is introduced and the last data center is converted to NVME and SSD in the area of shared hosting.
2022 ecological data center and cloud services
Our primary data center in Switzerland will be SAK's DC Gais in Foren. It is the greenest data center in Switzerland and we will migrate all Swiss customers there in early 2022. We will become a full cloud provider and offer Amazon S3 as well as Kybernetes and VPS services on our systems in all data centers.
